About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic new member of staff who will develop the skills to assist in securing the ClearBank environment. This role will be primarily responsible for improving our corporate security design and to support the team in analysing and responding to security alerts.
The ideal candidate will be a person passionate about Cyber Security, with knowledge of Microsoft end-user security tools or the desire to become an expert in this field. They will be a problem solver who is keen to learn and apply new skills as the need arises.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the first line for analysing, monitoring and responding to security events and alerts, escalating when required
Help to maintain the security operations toolset to ensure full coverage against potential threats (SIEM, EDR, Proxy, Firewall, Vulnerability Scanner, IDS etc.)
Proactively hunt and identify threats across the ClearBank environment .
Identify and promote best practices for multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, resilient, secure and scalable solutions .
Build automation playbooks to improve efficiency in the Security team
Act as an ambassador for Cybersecurity, promoting both good practices and the Cyber Security teams tools and services .
Help to respond to security events and alerts, escalating when required .
Participate in our incident response team, including out-of-hours support where required .
Have awareness of real-world cyber security threats and apply this to your work .
Maintain and create documentation for security processes and procedures .
As a member of the wider Security team; support operational priorities and assist others across the department where required .
Work closely with other departments to ensure solutions are applied and embedded .
Core Skills and Experience
Good understanding of cyber security principles and best practices
The ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of E5 Security including Office 365 would be an advantage .
Knowledge of PowerShell would be an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills with logical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise responsibilities to effectively meet business needs .
