Tutor - Introduction to Plaiting and Twisting

What makes me, me?

I am a very patient, fun loving, caring and full of energy.

Tell me about your role at CPBA. What does a typical day look like for you?

My role at the academy is a hairdressing tutor/assessor, on a typical day the unit that I currently teach is the plaiting and twisting unit where the learners can join me in the class via Zoom with their manikins and the correct tools and equipment to be able to learn several different types of plaits, twists and braids including fishtail, cornrows and two strand twists. I deliver all practical and the theory knowledge to be able to work on clients.

What's the standout highlight of your experience working at CPBA?

What stands out for me working at the CPBA Academy is that all the staff are so friendly and made me feel welcome. They are very supportive and give you help when needed. I can work from home and still receive the necessary support.

What skills do you bring to the table in your job?

I bring over 36 years of skills during my hairdressing career. These include, cutting, blow drying, colouring, plaiting & twisting, balayage, relaxing, barbering, colour correction, hair up/wedding hair and haircare advice.

When you're not working, what activities or hobbies do you enjoy most?

When I am not working my hobbies include socialising, dancing, clothes & textile designing, painting and drawing.
